Corticeira Amorim is among the 100 companies that has been awarded a "Ruban d'Honneur" prize in 2012/13 of the European Business Awards. Iberdrola, Ikea, Volkswagen and DHL are also some of the companies that were honoured with the prestigious Ruban d'Honneur status in addition to a number of Portuguese companies such as Delta, Jerónimo Martins and Portucel.
Corticeira Amorim is one of the 10 selected finalists in the Innovation category, an award rewarding excellence associated with innovation, based on strict ethical principles.

The combined turnover of the companies from 28 countries that have applied for the 2012/13 European Business Awards exceeds one trillion euros. Newcomers include some emerging countries such as Turkey and Kazakhstan, a fact that should be pointed out. In total, these organizations provide employment for 2.7 million people in the European continent.
After a phase of interviews with representatives of the finalists, the winners of the European Business Awards will be announced in April 2013.
