As a result of a partnership between Gyptec Iberia and Amorim Isolamentos, the products manufactured by the latter will be present at the Tektónica Exhibition 2015, specifically in the auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Architects - the Gyptec Business Auditorium. Expanded insulation cork board is the predominant material that will be used on the floor, walls and even on the furniture of the Gyptec Business Auditorium considered as one of Tektónica's main areas of focus. Tektónica is a prestigious International Building and Construction Fair, which will be held from 6th May to the 9th May 2015 at FIL (Lisbon International Fair).
The design of the Business Auditorium took inspiration from the Gypcork board, a multilayer constructive solution that brings together two Portuguese products of excellence - Gyptec's laminated plasterboard and Amorim's expanded insulation cork board. This is a sustainable product solution with low incorporated energy and an excellent thermal and acoustic insulation performance responding to the requirements for sustainable rehabilitation of buildings.
However, the use of cork in the auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Architects will not be limited to the Gypcork solution, as this is part of a technical solution that increases the interior insulation of buildings, but it is not at sight. Expanded insulation cork board was also selected to be used in the furniture that will decorate the space as well as in façade cladding. To this end, a special MDFacade Wave product manufactured by Amorim insulation will be used for exterior wall cladding and the natural cork will remain visible. In both cases, the use of cork contributes not only to enhance the aesthetics of the auditorium, but also to create a welcoming atmosphere.
This space will be in the spotlight at the Tektónica Exhibition 2015 and will be the venue for several landmark events to be organized by the Portuguese Institute of Architects. As part of an event focused on Urban Renewal, attention shall be drawn to a number of training workshops focused on the theme "Efficient solutions for construction and renovation projects".
