Inspired by the concept of the city as a playground, the project designed by New York-based architecture and design studio Leong Leong uses a natural cork agglomerate to create sculptural elements which outline a new micro urban landscape for visitors of all ages.
This specific method of cork transformation at high temperatures and pressure allows the cork grains to firmly agglomerate and give place to a naturally darker, strongly-scented material. Set in an organic and fluid arrangement, Leon Leong’s urban sculptures create a new sensorial landscape, inviting experimentation.
Location: MAAT garden, Lisbon.
