Amorim Isolamentos will be present at the 26th Concreta Trade Fair, an event organized by Exponor, with a 100 % sustainable exhibition stand boasting an innovative architectural design. The stand has been designed in partnership with the Vitruvius FabLab at ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute (IUL) and the School of Architecture of the University of Oporto (FAUP).
The stand is the outcome of a year of research on the Company's flagship product - expanded insulation cork board - and the use of new CAD/CAM tools.
The structure is based on the natural, mechanical and chemical properties of expanded insulation cork board and shows new possibilities of using this natural and fully recyclable material in the construction industry.
Amorim Isolamentos' stand and program at Concreta intend to prove not only the potential and the advantages of using expanded insulation cork board as a thermal and acoustical insulation material, but also to propose innovative solutions for the use of this natural material in architecture, both from an aesthetic and engineering point of view.
Among the new solutions brought about as a result of exploring new shapes and textures, the possibility of creating personalized and customized products leading to performance improvements in terms of acoustic, thermal and cushioning performance should be duly emphasized.
At the same time, there will be a demonstration of the use of expanded insulation cork board as a self-supporting material and the use of re-granulated insulation cork combined with other epoxy materials, opening up a whole new market of applications.
Amorim Isolamentos' stand will be located in Pavilion 4, stand no. 18D.
