Amorim Isolamentos, a subsidiary of CORTICEIRA AMORIM, has installed an exhibition stand in CONCRETA combining a modern architectural design with cork's ecological characteristics. This stand fully made from insulation corkboard was considered to be the best one at the International Exhibition for the Construction Industry - CONCRETA -, an exhibition running at Exponor, in Oporto, Portugal until the 24th of October.
The stand was designed by architect Nuno Graça Moura and António Queirós was its interior designer. A team from Amorim Isolamentos has lent its know-how in assembling the stand.
The use of insulation corkboard (a material that is widely considered to be a sophisticated and technologically advanced material) has resulted in an innovative and bold structure. The combination of insulation corkboard with the stand's shape resulted in an aesthetically striking and cosy space. The emphasis on aesthetic differentiation and the use of cork arouse the interest of many visitors involved in the construction Industry.
Carlos Manuel, Amorim Isolamentos' general manager, was proud of such a prestigious distinction and he said that "cork is undoubtedly a weighty partner in sustainable construction. Our goal is to promote the use of this 100 percent natural and recyclable raw material in all environmentally concerned structures. With this stand we have tried to highlight that cork is a material that can be used in the most pioneering structures combining an ecological value added with a high aesthetic quality and technical efficiency."
About Amorim Isolamentos:
Amorim Isolamentos is dedicated to the production of insulation materials based on natural raw materials such as cork and coconut fiber.
