The British supermarket chain Sainsbury's and Corticeira Amorim establish a joint commitment to promote natural cork. Sainsbury's, the UK’s second largest supermarket chain, announces that it will only sell wines that use cork stoppers certified by the FSC® - Forest Stewardship Council.
Corticeira Amorim’s corks help preserve 200-year-old champagne. More than 160 bottles of champagne discovered in the Baltic Sea are recovered with technical support from Corticeira Amorim, which ensures that the original stopper can be replaced with a new natural cork stopper.
